National Painting Week

Pro Painters Give Back to their Communities for National Painting Week

Professional painting contractors teamed up with Sherwin-Williams to transform community spaces across the continent with paint and color during National Painting Week in 2018. In all, more than 200 community spaces across North America were given fresh coats of paint as part of Sherwin-Williams seventh annual National Painting Week, which ran from May 25 to June 4.

This year, Sherwin-Williams partnered with the local affiliates of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Canada, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Rebuilding Together, and other community organizations. The company donated paint and supplies, and thousands of local employees volunteered at schools, historic landmarks and community centers.

Professional painting contractors and builders from across North America participated with teams from their local Sherwin-Williams stores.

A growing tradition

Since 2012, Sherwin-Williams employees have donated nearly 90,000 hours of their time to refresh more than 1,000 community spaces during National Painting Week.

“A fresh coat of paint and a new color palette can completely transform a space,” says Ellen Moreau, senior vice president of marketing communications at Sherwin-Williams. “We’re proud of our thousands of store employees and National Painting Week partners who are committed to giving back, so that we can continue to support the communities where we live and do business.”
